Allied Maker is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support the development of our new headquarters, showrooms, and other interior projects. This position is ideal for an early-career designer who takes genuine pride in producing accurate, organized, and beautifully resolved work. • Assist with material, furniture, plumbing, lighting, hardware, and finish research
  • Request and organize samples, pricing, lead times, and technical information
  • Maintain orderly drawing files, project folders, sample libraries, and documentation
  • Coordinate information among the internal design team, vendors, consultants, fabricators, and contractors
  • Review shop drawings and submittals under the direction of senior team members
  • Assist with site measurements, field documentation, installations, and project follow-through
  • Identify missing, conflicting, or incomplete information before it becomes a problem
  • Support the Design Director in moving projects from concept through execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field
  • Approximately 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong AutoCAD skills

  • Working knowledge of interior construction, materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes
  • Ability to read and produce professional drawing sets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and maintain accuracy under deadlines
  • Willingness to work on-site and participate in field visits as required

What We Are Looking For

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Clean, consistent, and legible drawing practices
  • Strong organizational habits
  • Careful follow-through
  • The discipline to check work before submitting it

  • Curiosity about materials, fabrication, and construction
  • A calm, responsible, low-ego approach
  • Good judgment about when to proceed independently and when to ask a question
  • A genuine desire to become excellent at the craft
