Role overview
As a junior Oracle database administrator, you will contribute to the reliability and day-to-day management of database environments that support important business and technology functions. This role is well suited to someone early in their database administration career who is eager to build hands-on experience across enterprise systems, work closely with technical teams, and develop a strong foundation in database operations and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine database maintenance, health monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Execute schema updates and basic deployments.
- Monitor automated backups and assist with data extraction and reporting tasks.
- Document system configurations and database policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related technical field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in database administration.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Linux, AIX, and Windows Server environments, including Oracle Data Guard.
- Familiarity with backup monitoring, schema changes, and database documentation.
- Experience supporting deployments and collaborating effectively with technical teams.
- Eligible to work in Jordan.
