Key Account Manager - Institutions

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to lead the commercial and access strategy in the Argentine public sector, developing long-term relationships with national and provincial Ministries of Health, government agencies, and other key stakeholders in the healthcare system.

The position will have a strategic role in identifying access opportunities for the company's portfolio, working cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Commercial, Legal, and Supply Chain areas to ensure sustainable value propositions for the healthcare system.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the account strategy for the national and provincial public sector.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with decision-makers in Ministries of Health, special programs, drug banks, and government agencies.
  • Identify and act on new provincial HTA.
  • Identify access opportunities for the current portfolio and future launches.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and processes related to public procurement, tenders, agreements, and contracts.
  • Prepare account plans with objectives, actions, indicators, and periodic monitoring.
  • Analyze the healthcare, budgetary, and regulatory environment to anticipate opportunities and risks.
  • Participate in the design of value propositions for the public system, integrating clinical, economic, and health outcomes evidence.
  • Manage the pipeline of opportunities and ensure the achievement of commercial and access objectives.
  • Represent the company while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and transparency.

What we expect from you

The professional we are looking for must have acquired the vital knowledge and skills to perform the functions of this position through the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge or its equivalent.

Basic Requirements:

  • University degree in Health Sciences, Economic Sciences, Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in strategic account management in the public sector or Government Accounts in Argentina, preferably from a position in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of how the Argentine healthcare system works, especially the public subsector.
  • Participation and knowledge in public tender and government procurement processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced English.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Postgraduate training in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Economics, or Market Access.
  • Experience in high-specialty products, biologics, or rare diseases.
