Lab Manager, Operating Room
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: BS in Medical Technology or related science. Meets CLIA requirements for Supervisor.- Minimum Experience: Five (5) years working in a laboratory- License, Certification, Registration: CLS- ASCP, AMT eligible and obtains within one year of hire or equivalent - Equipment/Tools All equipment, software, and hardware: Specialized Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of laboratory equipment. Working knowledge of, or experience with concepts and principles to total quality management, team process and change theory. Requires knowledge of regulatory agency standards related to laboratory services.- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages all employees in the Clinical Laboratory. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Steers Laboratory LEAN Program, facilitates change and serves on corporate committees as necessary. Ensures staff are compliant with all local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.
