About the project
You’ll work across the stack — from micro-frontends to backend microservices on AWS — taking ownership of complex technical areas and helping shape the architecture and technical direction of the project.
As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you’ll play a key role in making technical decisions, establishing engineering best practices, and supporting the team in delivering reliable and scalable production solutions within a distributed environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Strong experience with micro-frontends and backend microservices
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB
- Strong experience with AWS, including services such as Lambda, ECS, SQS, EventBridge, CloudFront, ALB, etc.
- Strong experience with SQL
- Experience with Jest and/or Playwright
- Familiarity with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD
- Experience designing and evolving scalable software architectures
- Ability to make and communicate technical decisions
- Experience providing technical guidance and supporting other engineers
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote or distributed team
- Experience with additional AWS services
- Strong background in cloud-native architecture and infrastructure automation
- Experience defining engineering standards and best practices
- Experience mentoring engineers in distributed teams
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack features across React micro-frontends and Node.js backend microservices
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction
- Build and integrate scalable services using AWS technologies such as Lambda, ECS, SQS, EventBridge, CloudFront, and ALB
- Work with PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB to design and manage application data
- Establish and promote clean, testable, and maintainable code practices
- Develop and maintain automated testing practices using Jest and/or Playwright
- Contribute to infrastructure automation using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD
- Define and improve engineering standards, development processes, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on the team
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable production solutions
- Take ownership of complex technical areas and ensure successful delivery
- Identify technical risks and proactively drive improvements
