About the role
We’re looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer to join a team working on cloud-based services and infrastructure.
The project focuses on building and maintaining reliable cloud-native solutions, improving service diagnostics and operational capabilities, and supporting production environments. The role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, troubleshooting, security, and service reliability, with a strong focus on C#/.NET and Azure.


Requirements

• Highly strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native applications using Azure
• Strong experience with Azure services such as Web APIs, WebJobs, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, and Redis
• Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and mitigate live production service issues
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and service reliability
• Strong foundation in secure coding practices, application security, and threat-aware engineering
• Ability to make and communicate technical decisions
• Experience taking ownership of complex technical areas and production issues
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a remote and distributed team

Nice to have

• Experience with host attestation, compute firewall management, or platform security
• Experience building or configuring anomaly detection, alerting systems, and automated incident triage
• Advanced knowledge of Azure security posture, identity management, and compliance tools
• Experience applying AI/ML solutions to enhance security monitoring and threat detection
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical best practices

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of C#/.NET services running in Azure
• Drive technical decisions and contribute to the architecture of cloud-native solutions
• Design and improve solutions using Azure services
• Lead investigation, troubleshooting, and mitigation of complex production incidents
• Drive improvements in service diagnostics, monitoring, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Promote secure coding practices and contribute to application security initiatives
• Identify technical risks and drive solutions across development and production environments
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
• Contribute to engineering standards, technical documentation, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability and scalability
• Take ownership of complex technical areas and drive issues through to resolution

Availability expectations

• DRI 12x7
• 1-week shifts every 4 weeks
• Ability to work with overlap until 10:00 AM PST (7:00 PM CET)
