Learning Support Assistant
Key responsibilities:
- Support students with diverse learning requirements by implementing tailored educational strategies and interventions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students in need of additional academic support.
- Work alongside teachers to modify lessons and learning resources, ensuring accessibility for all students.
- Monitor and report on student engagement and progress, providing essential insights for instructional adjustments.
- Encourage positive social interactions and assist students in developing their communication skills during group activities.
- Keep informed of ongoing developments in educational practices related to special needs education.
- Contribute to a nurturing classroom atmosphere that values diversity and promotes student well-being.
Requirements:
- A degree or relevant qualification in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational role is highly desirable.
- Understanding of various learning disabilities and effective support techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, educators, and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting individual student needs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic educational environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
