Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and monitor Contractor logistics plans and ensure compliance with approved project requirements.
- Oversee site access, haul routes, deliveries, laydown areas, and material/equipment storage arrangements.
- Review temporary traffic management and site access arrangements.
- Coordinate logistics interfaces between infrastructure packages, contractors, developers, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor material, plant, and equipment movements against the approved construction programme.
- Review Contractor logistics sequencing and work-front requirements.
- Identify logistics constraints, access issues, and potential impacts on construction progress and recommend mitigation measures.
- Monitor heavy equipment movements and major/oversized delivery arrangements.
- Coordinate with Construction, Planning, HSE, Traffic, and other project functions to ensure safe and efficient logistics operations.
- Monitor Contractor compliance with approved logistics plans, procedures, and project requirements.
- Maintain logistics, interface, access, and constraint registers.
- Support project mobilization, construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and demobilization activities.
- Participate in logistics coordination meetings and provide recommendations to PMC and Client management.
- Prepare logistics reports, progress updates, and recommendations on key constraints and risks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10–18 years of total professional experience.
- 8–12 years of experience in logistics management or similar roles on major construction/infrastructure projects.
- 7–10 years of GCC/KSA experience.
- Proven experience managing or overseeing construction logistics for large-scale infrastructure, urban development, or mixed-use projects.
- Previous experience with a PMC or engineering consultancy overseeing Contractor logistics is preferred.
- Strong experience with site logistics, access management, haul routes, temporary traffic arrangements, laydown areas, material movements, and heavy equipment logistics.
- Experience coordinating logistics across multiple contractors, infrastructure packages, and project interfaces.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, work fronts, project schedules, and logistics constraints.
- Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and safe construction logistics practices.
- Excellent coordination, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Saudi Arabia/GCC project experience is strongly preferred.
