About the role and team

Working in Central Operations at Uber means solving hard problems in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. Whether you are scaling the future of Autonomous Vehicle fleets, driving growth for our multi-billion dollar Grocery & Retail business, or leading operations for a major geographic market, you will be at the heart of our mission to move the real world. You’ll need to take extreme ownership, stay adaptable in the face of shifting regulations or market dynamics, and build with both urgency and care.

This role is about navigating ambiguity and making smart decisions with imperfect information. You will act as a hands-on operator and a strategic architect, often building processes from the ground up while managing senior-level partnerships. What you’ll do

  • Lead team and design GTM covering GDP, Strategic, ENT Large to align commercial actions to platform objectives set by Strategy team
  • Responsible for merchant total investment target (Ads, Offer, MPI) across GDP, Strategic, ENT-Large
  • Responsible for target of strategic initiatives including In store pricing (ISP), Exclusivity etc
  • Own execution of deal desking under Strategy team deal renewal principles and process
  • Own campaign recruitment, MOU, JBP enablement
  • Maintain merchant SOT covering decision matrices, merchant persona, CP, MPI, Total merchant investment calendar and commercial milestones calender
  • Engage senior commercial leaders and unleash productivity of sales team via adoption of merchant intelligence tool suite
  • Coaching and mentoring GTM team members

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 + years of experience in Sales Operation, B2B GTM, Sales leadership role in a tech company.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes in high-velocity B2B or consumer-facing business units leading a team of ICs.
  • Exceptional business acumen. Understand client needs and can derive GTM milestones to drive synergy between platform growth objectives and client growth.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Resilience and adaptability—the ability to thrive in dynamic, unstructured environments with a "get-it-done" attitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Japanese language proficiency both speaking and writing are nice to have
  • Demonstrated proficiency building AI-enabled and agentic solutions that translate business logic into scalable workflows. Experience working with AI agents, repositories, knowledge bases, and structured data to automate and improve processes
