Operations manager responsibilities
The operations manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance and coordination of Qiddiya's city assets. This role serves as a critical link between strategic planning and operational execution, ensuring that all city operations are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the guest experience standards and operational readiness objectives.
Requirements
- Manage and coordinate daily city operations across multiple assets, ensuring seamless service delivery and adherence to operational KPIs.
- Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational policies across assigned areas of responsibility.
- Act as a primary coordination point between the city command unit, security, fire & life safety, facilities, and asset-level operational teams.
- Monitor operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive corrective actions to maintain operational excellence.
- Support the planning and execution of major events, seasonal activations, and phased asset openings from an operational readiness perspective.
- Lead or contribute to operational readiness assessments, pre-opening checklists, and testing & commissioning activities.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships for operational services, ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs and quality standards.
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and briefings for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key qualifications & experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in operations management within large-scale entertainment, hospitality, mixed-use developments, or urban operations environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate complex operational processes across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of operational readiness methodologies, testing & commissioning, and pre-opening planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating in the GCC region and familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects is highly advantageous.
