What You Will Do:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, including new or revised procedures, to ensure efficient transfer of technology from research to production.
- Collaborate with pilot plant and production teams to establish procedures for cost-effective mass production.
- Conduct tests, measurements, and troubleshooting during production to control variables and resolve process or equipment issues.
- Evaluate field support requirements, recommend tools, test equipment, and maintenance materials, and advise on the acquisition of new technologies and materials.
- Lead and mentor manufacturing engineers to ensure adherence to quality and production standards.
- Develop and monitor operating budgets to maximize cost-efficiency while maintaining compliance with standards.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve products, reduce costs, and optimize productivity through improvements in fabrication processes, tooling, equipment, assembly methods, and material usage.
- Provide guidance on design concepts and specification requirements to enhance manufacturing capabilities and performance.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, ensuring effective communication with internal and external teams, and optimally managing resources to meet established deadlines, budgets, and objectives.
- Manage and effectively resolve conflicts in cross-functional environments, facilitating mutually beneficial agreements through strategic negotiation skills that promote collaboration and achievement of organizational goals.
- Position may include occasional travel to the United States, as required by business needs, and might require obtaining a visa.
- Requires proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate across diverse teams, deliver presentations, lead meetings, and facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on business objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree in engineering and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience and a minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading a Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing process.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional collaboration among Engineering, Operations, Program Office, and Business Development teams to achieve e.g., product launches, process improvements, cost reductions.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Collaborative leadership behaviors that emphasize high goal setting, team empowerment and providing support
- Preferred experience in Electronic and Aerospace industry
- Experience with Automated Machines, such as SMT and Selective Soldering Systems.
