Marketing Manager
You will develop and execute marketing strategies, lead campaigns, improve customer acquisition and retention, independently manage projects and timelines, coordinate internal teams and external partners, create briefs, review creative work, maintain brand consistency, prepare project reports, and manage agencies and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead marketing campaigns from planning through execution
- Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Own marketing projects and deliver them on time
- Develop and maintain project timelines
- Manage project risks and dependencies
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners
- Develop briefs for design teams and agencies
- Participate in creative reviews and provide feedback
- Ensure marketing materials align with brand standards and messaging
- Collaborate with Payments, Biz-dev, Sales, Product Marketing, and Support teams
- Draft marketing project and cycle reports
- Manage agency and vendor relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- At least 8 years of relevant marketing experience
- Strong data and analytical skills
- Experience with BI tools and dashboards
- Experience managing market research initiatives
- Experience managing sponsorship or brand partnership portfolios
- Understanding of ATL and BTL sponsorship value
- Ability to work cross-functionally with global and local teams
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Experience working with external agencies and research suppliers
- Fluency in French and English
- Knowledge of The Gambia's consumer landscape, market dynamics, and media ecosystem
- Experience in mobile money, fintech, telecom, FMCG, or strategy and research consultancy
