Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer
Summary
On-site Azure Cloud Engineer for VAMSystems' Qatar operations, designing and managing Azure IaaS/PaaS environments, Landing Zones, and services like AKS, App Services, API Management, and Azure SQL, with governance via Azure Policy, RBAC, PIM, and monitoring using Azure Monitor and KQL.
We are looking for a Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer for our Qatar operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS environments and Azure Landing Zones.
Manage AKS, Azure App Services, Azure API Management, Azure SQL, AVD, and Azure Storage services.
Implement Azure governance and security using Azure Policy, RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access, and resource locks.
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environments using Azure Monitor and KQL.
Manage cloud infrastructure across Development, Staging, and Production environments.
Optimize Azure resources for performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
Develop monitoring dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks.
Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft security services where required.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure and administration.
Experience with AKS, App Services, API Management, Azure Monitor, and KQL.
Strong knowledge of Azure governance, security, RBAC, PIM, and Azure Policy.
Experience with Azure Landing Zones and hub-and-spoke architecture.
Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent.
Azure Security certification and CKA are an advantage.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Defender is an advantage.
