Middle QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)
Remote | Full-time | $1,800–2,500/month
We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer to join a newly forming technical team working on existing web-based CRM and trading platform products.
This is a combination of Manual and Automation QA.
We are currently building a structured QA process from the ground up, so we are looking for someone who can not only test assigned tasks but also help establish practical testing processes, documentation, regression coverage, and automation.
Previous experience in FinTech, Forex, CFD, or trading is not required. We will provide product-specific onboarding and explain the business logic.
What you will work with
The main products are:
Web-based CRM system
Web-based CFD/trading platform
Desktop and responsive/mobile web interfaces
REST APIs and third-party integrations
Real-time functionality
Multiple environments, including staging and production
You will be testing existing functionality, bug fixes, improvements, and new functionality.
Responsibilities
Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
Test bug fixes and new functionality before release
Verify fixes after deployment to production
Reproduce reported production issues using provided test data and scenarios
Compare behavior between staging, current production, previous/alternative production environments when required
Investigate frontend issues using browser DevTools, including Console and Network
Analyze requests, responses, API behavior, browser errors, and other technical information needed to identify issues
Test REST APIs and third-party integrations when required
Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and regression scenarios
Build a structured QA process from scratch together with the team
Introduce and maintain automated regression testing for critical functionality
Identify which scenarios should be automated and propose an appropriate automation approach
Perform smoke testing after deployments
Work closely with the Project Manager and Full-Stack Developers
Gradually build strong knowledge of the product and its business logic
Keep QA documentation practical, understandable, and up to date
Requirements
2+ years of commercial QA experience
Strong Manual QA fundamentals
Commercial experience with test automation
Understanding of web application architecture
Good knowledge of browser DevTools
Experience testing REST APIs
Understanding of HTTP requests/responses, status codes, cookies, sessions, authentication, etc.
Experience creating test cases, checklists, and regression suites
Understanding of regression, smoke, functional, and exploratory testing
Ability to reproduce and investigate complex issues rather than only verify predefined scenarios
Ability to work with an existing product where documentation may initially be limited
Git/GitHub familiarity
English — Intermediate or higher
Ability to work independently after the onboarding period
Experience with database/SQL testing is a plus but is not mandatory.
Experience with trading or FinTech products is not required.
Automation
We do not require one specific automation framework.
We are looking for someone who understands automation principles and can evaluate the existing product, propose an appropriate approach, and gradually build automated regression coverage for critical functionality.
Experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks is welcome.
What we expect during the first months
During the first 1–3 months, you will receive onboarding and product-specific guidance.
We do not expect you to understand the complete CRM and trading logic immediately.
After the onboarding period, we expect you to:
Understand the core functionality of the CRM and trading platform
Independently reproduce most reported issues
Understand where and how to investigate a problem
Recognize possible dependencies between different parts of the system
Maintain regression coverage
Communicate clearly with developers and the Project Manager
Become increasingly independent in planning and executing testing
Working conditions

Important
We are currently forming a new technical team and establishing development and QA processes.
This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable joining an existing, complex product, learning its logic, asking the right questions during onboarding, and then becoming increasingly independent.
We value reliability, clear communication, ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate a problem instead of simply following a predefined checklist.
