Mobile Platform Engineer
About the Role
This is a high-leverage platform engineering role sitting within a Foundation team at a fast-growing EdTech company. You'll own the core of a Flutter mobile app — shared components, architecture, and performance — and shape the standards that keep the broader engineering organisation moving confidently. The systems you maintain directly determine how quickly and reliably product teams can ship features.
What You'll Do
Own the core Flutter app, including shared components, the design system, performance tooling, and overall architecture.
Define patterns for state management and backend integration, and guide product teams in applying them consistently.
Improve the end-to-end developer workflow — from CI/CD pipelines and store distribution to internal tooling — removing recurring friction that slows other teams down.
Integrate AI tooling into the codebase and workflows, and help shape its evolving role in the product.
Keep the existing technical foundation healthy and dependable so product teams can build on it with confidence.
What We're Looking For
Several years of experience delivering production software at scale, ideally including ownership of mobile application architecture.
Strong, multi-year hands-on experience building mobile apps with Flutter and Dart.
Solid mobile DevOps experience across CI/CD, app store distribution, and release management.
Genuine curiosity about AI as an engineering surface — a desire to explore and experiment matters more than formal background.
A systems-thinker mindset: you reason clearly about trade-offs, communicate well across teams, and find satisfaction in work that unblocks others.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: €80,000 – €110,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
