Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Remote Mobile Service Technician to deliver high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services directly to customers at their homes, workplaces, or designated locations. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing service, representing Ford’s commitment to convenience, innovation, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and light repair services on Ford and competitive make vehicles (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, recalls, and software updates) at customer locations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using mobile diagnostic tools
- Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle condition, recommended services, and timelines
- Manage daily schedule, travel routes, and service appointments efficiently
- Maintain and organize a fully equipped mobile service vehicle
- Accurately document services performed, parts used, and customer interactions via digital systems
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (ASE certification preferred)
- 2+ years of automotive technician experience (Ford experience a plus)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, and diagnostic software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mobile or field service operations
- Familiarity with Ford systems, tools, and service procedures
- EV (Electric Vehicle) maintenance knowledge is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling
