Network Architect

Short Description: State of NC’s Div. of Employment Security (DES) seeks to procure one contractor, a Network Architect contractor role to assess/design changes to current DES network to support/monitor connectivity to SCUBI data center located in Dallas, TX run by Xerox.

Complete Description: Expected Skills: Ability to assess and design networks for enterprise systems that are distributed and require a high degree of encryption and security. Ability to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; ability to manage highly complex work efforts. This position requires an advanced degree in computer science and at least 10 years of experience in advance network design, development, and implementation.

• Description (including, but not limited to):

• Design of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer network

• Specialization in Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), network security, router security, FTP, disaster recovery, hot backups, TCP/IP, virtual machines, and/or server/network infrastructure etc.

• Must have at least 10 years’ experience in network design, development and installation.

• Must have advance network diagramming skills use a tool like Visio.
