Network Management Admin

Salary: £70,000 per annum

Additional: £6000 car allowance

Location: Milton Keynes, 2 days a week onsite (hybrid)

My client, a global banking and financial services leader is looking for an experienced network management admin to join their existing network team. Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and managing IBM Netcool & SevOne platforms.
• Delivering integrated Network monitoring solutions across multiple technologies.
• Reporting on critical network compliance and availability.
• Interface to Network and Operational Teams to support their monitoring requirements.
• Create reporting for troubleshooting and capacity planning.
• Ensuring processes and procedures are followed.

Essential:

• CCNA or equivalent in routing & switching.
• IBM Certified associate in Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus V8.1.
• Proven experience administering IBM Netcool Operations Insight.
• Strong background supporting UNIX, Linux & Windows operating systems.
• Advanced understanding of protocols including TCP/IP, SNMP.
• Knowledge of html, cgi, Java and XML

Desirable:

• Confident troubleshooting knowledge using TCP Dumps, PCAP files.
• Working knowledge of security network technologies including firewall, proxy, IPS, WAF, VPN.
• Automation skills using Python, Ansible, Rundeck, Postman, Terraform.
