We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a global infrastructure team responsible for supporting and enhancing a complex enterprise network environment. This role combines operational support and project delivery, with a strong focus on providing Level 3 support, driving network stability, and contributing to large-scale integration initiatives arising from ongoing mergers and acquisitions activity.
You will collaborate with global technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of critical network services. This is a hands-on technical position best suited to someone with proven real-world experience supporting enterprise-scale environments rather than purely academic or theoretical knowledge.
Please note, this role is also open to Melbourne and Brisbane candidates.
Working at NTT
- Provide Level 3 operational support for a global enterprise network environment, managing complex incidents, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring service availability.
- Maintain and support Cisco Nexus switching, Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, F5 Load Balancers, and Aruba technologies across a multi-site network landscape.
- Lead and support network upgrades, migrations, integrations, and transformation activities associated with mergers, acquisitions, and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain technical implementation plans, operational procedures, network standards, and support documentation in accordance with ITIL and ITSM best practices.
- Partner with internal technology teams and external vendors to perform root cause analysis, resolve critical incidents, and deliver continuous service improvement.
- Ensure network infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational risk, governance, and operational requirements
What will make you a good fit for the role?
- CCNP certification or equivalent enterprise networking experience, with demonstrated success supporting complex production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 3000/9000 platforms, Cisco routing and switching technologies, and Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) solutions.
- Proven expertise supporting enterprise security and networking technologies including Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, F5 Load Balancers, and Aruba wireless environments.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, and network security technologies within large-scale environments.
- Solid understanding of ITIL and ITSM frameworks, including incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
- Experience working with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments, including AWS networking, cloud connectivity, and integration between on-premises and cloud platforms.
