About the Role
The Network Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting all network systems, operational and servicing functions and requirements to support the Tū Ātea Network Services Limited companies and clients, including Broadtech Networks’ sites and network elements. This also includes support to external clients that Broadtech provide network services, operational support and equipment servicing across broadcasting, telecommunications and health sectors.
The role requires a strong organisational ability to support the team across the full range of operational and servicing work carried out for internal and external clients.
The network operations coordinator will have the opportunity to be involved in technical support for the operational and servicing functions and assisting in the NOC.
The role is mainly office based but may require site visits on a periodic basis.
Primary Responsibilities
As the Network Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of nationwide broadcast and telecommunications networks. Your responsibilities will include:
Support for the Operations and Servicing teams to ensure operational and servicing functions are carried out to meet obligations for network performance and availability and equipment repairs.
Manage all contracted sites and facilities to ensure EH&S hazards are identified and managed, and records kept up to date.
Document network operational and servicing processes and procedures and maintain records.
Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, site access requests, and contractor engagement across the network.
Maintain accurate operational records, including contractor registers, fault registers, site information, equipment repairs, and network documentation.
Support day-to-day operational administration, including alarm monitoring, outage communications, and regular status reporting.
Manage operational assets and logistics, including spares, tools, equipment tracking, and dispatch of materials.
Ensure operational systems, records, and procedures remain current, supporting compliance, health and safety requirements, and efficient business operations.
