Key Responsibilities
Regional Network Operations
- Manage day-to-day network operations across data centers and workplace environments within the region.
- Ensure network infrastructure remains stable, secure, resilient, and performs within agreed service levels.
- Maintain operational records, network documentation, configuration standards, and knowledge management.
Incident, Problem & Performance Management
- Lead troubleshooting and diagnosis of complex network issues, including root cause analysis (RCA) and performance optimization.
- Identify network bottlenecks, capacity constraints, single points of failure (SPOFs), recurring issues, and operational risks.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions and continuous service improvement.
- Lead major network incidents and coordinate technical escalation with internal teams, vendors, and technology principals.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the regional Network Operations team.
- Manage team workload, priorities, technical escalations, performance, and capability development.
- Coordinate resources across multiple locations and support effective remote team collaboration.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to network engineers.
Network Design & Implementation
- Support the design, implementation, expansion, and lifecycle management of data center and workplace networks.
- Review network architecture, capacity, scalability, redundancy, resiliency, and operational readiness.
- Define and maintain configuration templates and technical standards covering Day 0, Day 1, and Day 1+N operations.
- Support new data center network construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and transition into BAU operations.
Standards, Governance & Automation
- Develop and maintain network operational standards, SOPs, configuration standards, and technical documentation.
- Drive standardized network implementation and operational practices across the region.
- Promote network automation, configuration backup, monitoring, controls, and operational tooling.
- Continuously improve operational processes, efficiency, and service quality.
Vendor & Service Management
- Manage technical relationships with network vendors, service providers, partners, and telecom operators.
- Monitor vendor performance and service quality and drive resolution of recurring service issues.
- Coordinate technical escalations with vendors and technology principals when required.
Reporting & Capacity Management
- Monitor network availability, utilization, capacity, incidents, risks, and operational performance.
- Produce regular operational and management reports, including service performance, risks, incidents, and capacity.
- Support capacity forecasting, lifecycle planning, resource planning, and infrastructure expansion.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in network engineering, implementation, and operations, preferably within enterprise or data center environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise and/or data center network infrastructure.
- Experience leading network engineers or technical operations teams.
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site or geographically distributed network environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and drive end-to-end resolution.
- Experience in network design, planning, implementation, migration, and operational handover.
- Experience in global enterprises, large-scale environments, data center operators, or consulting organizations is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and reporting skills.
Technical Skills
Network & Protocols
- Strong knowledge of IP routing and switching, including OSPF and BGP.
- Good understanding of MPLS VPN, VPN technologies, and multi-site connectivity.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies, such as VMware VeloCloud or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN, high availability, and network redundancy architectures.
Devices & Platforms
- Hands-on experience with mainstream enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco, H3C, and Aruba.
- Strong understanding of enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
Network Security
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls and enterprise network security technologies.
- Familiarity with WAF, NAC, Cisco ISE, Forti Authenticator (FAC), or equivalent security platforms.
- Good understanding of network security controls, segmentation, monitoring, and security best practices.
Monitoring, Tools & Automation
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and ELK.
- Familiarity with IPAM, configuration backup, network management, and automation/orchestration tools.
- Experience using automation or standardized configuration templates to improve network operational efficiency is an advantage.
Certifications
- CCNP or equivalent Aruba/H3C professional-level certification is preferred.
- CCIE or equivalent advanced networking certification is an advantage.
- ITIL certification or practical ITIL service management experience is an advantage.
