Role Overview

The NPI Manager leads a manufacturing engineering team responsible for new product introduction and the manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies that support production. You will connect product engineering and manufacturing operations, guide launch readiness, and help ensure new products move into production with the right processes, standards, and support in place.

What will you do?

  • Lead and develop a manufacturing engineering team supporting new product introduction activities, including coaching, prioritization, and performance management.
  • Partner with product engineering, operations, quality, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into manufacturable solutions.
  • Own and execute the manufacturing technology roadmap that supports NPI, process development, and production readiness.
  • Guide process development for advanced fabrication and manufacturing methods, including automation and precision production workflows where applicable.
  • Establish and track launch and manufacturing metrics such as cycle time, throughput, OEE, first-pass yield, changeover time, and material utilization.
  • Drive design-for-manufacturability feedback and support engineering changes that affect the manufacturing site.
  • Coordinate technology transfer, process qualification, validation support, and readiness reviews across sites and functions.
  • Support the development of standardized documentation, training, and production support materials needed for successful launches.

How will you do it?

  • Take ownership of launch outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity at the center of every decision.
  • Stay close to the work by partnering directly with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to remove obstacles for new product launches.
  • Use data, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement to improve performance and resolve issues quickly and clearly.
  • Win as one team by building trust, sharing candid feedback, and valuing diverse perspectives across functions and sites.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, manufacturing technology development, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading or guiding teams in a manufacturing or product launch environment.
  • Strong understanding of new product introduction, production readiness, and manufacturing process development.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing performance data and translate findings into practical actions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with advanced fabrication technologies, high-speed laser cutting systems, bonding processes, or precision sheet metal processing.
  • Exposure to modular manufacturing cell concepts and automated inspection systems such as machine vision or ML-based defect detection.
  • Experience supporting design-for-manufacturability, technology transfer, process qualification, or production readiness assessments.
  • Experience managing manufacturing milestone metrics in a high-volume or complex production environment.

What do we offer?

  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.
  • Engagement in meaningful projects that make a difference.
