Oracle Database Administrator

We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join an international DBA team supporting large-scale, high-availability database environments within the payments domain. The role focuses on maintaining database stability, performance, and scalability across production systems operating in distributed architectures.

This is a hands-on DBA role requiring strong Oracle expertise, production support experience, and practical knowledge of performance tuning and optimisation in enterprise environments.


Responsibilities

• Perform database and SQL performance tuning
• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle database instances
• Conduct root cause analysis of production database issues
• Monitor, maintain, and support database environments on a daily basis
• Work with development teams on data models and database design
• Implement performance and resource optimisation solutions
• Support high availability and reliability of production systems

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
• Hands on experience with Oracle databases on Unix/Linux environments
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimisation
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving issues
• Good understanding of distributed systems and database architecture
• Strong SQL knowledge and database development understanding
• Fluent English communication skills
Nice to have

• Experience with high volume OLTP systems
• Experience with large scale databases (terabyte level)
• Knowledge of Data Guard replication
• Strong understanding of Oracle best practices such as schema design, indexing, and query optimisation
• Experience working in global or distributed teams
