Oracle Developer / Analyst

A well established construction business is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer / Analyst to support and evolve its core business systems. This is a hands on role combining application support, enhancement development, business analysis and stakeholder engagement.

The position has been created as part of a long term succession plan, with the current incumbent gradually transitioning out of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising Melbourne based systems, leveraging learnings from the company's more advanced Perth operations and will ultimately become the primary IT systems resource for the Melbourne business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Oracle Forms based business applications
• Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders
• Design, develop, test and deploy system enhancements and customisations
• Develop and support Oracle Forms, Reports, SQL and PL/SQL solutions
• Assist with the upcoming Oracle APEX implementation and future development roadmap
• Integrate Oracle applications with external systems and web services
• Deliver software solutions from high level business requirements with minimal formal UAT processes

Essential Skills & Experience

• Oracle Forms & Reports 10g or above
• Oracle Database 10g+ or above
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills
• APEX Version 18+ preferred (minimum experience Version 5+)
• Experience consuming web services from Oracle environments
• DOS batch scripting
• Application integration experience
• Rapid application development methodologies

Nice to Have

• Exposure to accounting or finance systems
• Accounting knowledge / experience
• Experience supporting business-critical ERP or operational systems
