Corporate Security is composed of a network of 110 professionals distributed around the world. We support patient safety and business performance by increasing Sanofi's resilience against various security threats and risks, and we contribute to Sanofi's obligation to operate within the relevant legal frameworks. Our scope covers all prevention and protection activities against potential deliberate malicious acts, as well as the consequences of unintentional actions or events. Global Security recruits, develops, and retains professional talent with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to fulfill the Security mission with the appropriate level of competence, in line with international professional standards.
The Mexico Security & HSE Head reports to the Latam and Brazil Security Head and is based in Mexico City. Their missions are carried out in coordination with the Latam Security Region and the global Centers of Excellence (CoE).
In their country, the Security Head is responsible for protecting Sanofi's employees, information, sites, patients, products, and assets, and supports the company's resilience program by implementing crisis and business continuity plans (BCP). They are also responsible for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs, ensuring compliance with Sanofi's requirements and regulations in coordination with the Global Health, Safety, and Environment Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess risks, identify threats, propose mitigation measures, guide stakeholders, and provide incident response.

Ensure the implementation of Global Security Standards through awareness, monitoring, and feedback to the Regional Security Head.

Promote Sanofi's security culture through training and communication, and advise and support stakeholders in Mexico.

Build and maintain relationships of trust with key stakeholders throughout the area.

Ensure compliance with local and global regulations and criminal procedures; verify the competence and compliance of suppliers.

Participate in external initiatives and maintain cooperative relationships with law enforcement agencies, intelligence services, private contractors, and diplomatic representatives.

Support sensitive business projects through intelligence gathering and investigations.

Visit remote sites to assess the readiness of security operations and ensure that regulatory requirements and compliance standards are implemented effectively.

Responsible for leading the country's comprehensive security strategy, including protection of people, assets, products, and information, crisis management, event security, business continuity, and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, ensuring risk mitigation and the protection of operations.

Ensures the identification and assessment of physical, operational, and geopolitical risks, driving prevention, response, and organizational resilience plans. Coordinates protection initiatives for employees, travelers, and strategic sites, as well as awareness and security culture programs. Additionally, leads incident and crisis preparation and response, promoting compliance with corporate and regulatory standards to protect people, assets, and business continuity.
About You
Experience:
-
Extensive experience in security leadership, with a solid professional track record in corporate security operations, law enforcement, or military organizations, including at least 10 years in a senior corporate security position.

Proven experience in investigations, risk management, and crisis response, including overseeing major investigations that led to the dismantling and prosecution of criminal networks, as well as handling life-threatening situations, such as death threats, kidnappings, and hostage-taking incidents.

Strong operational security capabilities, including the planning, organization, and execution of security operations, supported by deep knowledge of security systems, principles, and relevant legal frameworks.
Soft and Technical Skills:

Excellent communication, influence, and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, assess risks effectively, and make high-level decisions, even in hostile or high-pressure environments.

Demonstrated experience in people leadership, successfully managing Security and HSE teams through a leadership style based on trust, active listening, delegation, accountability, and performance management.

Strategic and adaptable mindset, capable of identifying operational problems, opportunities, and risks; making risk-based decisions; adopting innovation while remaining pragmatic; and performing effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
