Personal Support Worker
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to our clients in Ann Arbor, MI. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities to enhance their comfort, independence, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide support with mobility and transferring.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor clients’ health conditions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Document care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to supervisors.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Support Worker or similar role is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively and show empathy towards clients.
- Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and health safety standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is an asset.
