We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer (CyberSecurity) to join a large-scale transformation programme focused on Identity and Access Management (IDAM). This is an exciting opportunity to work on a modern cloud-native platform leveraging Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices.

As part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will help design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and resilient platform services supporting critical enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud-native platform services in Google Cloud Platform.
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and supporting platform components.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployment practices.
• Manage cloud networking, connectivity, load balancing, and platform security.
• Implement observability solutions including logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Automate platform provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes.
• Support deployment and operation of identity-related platform services.
• Implement secure secrets management and certificate lifecycle automation.
• Configure and manage Service Mesh technologies such as Istio and Envoy.
• Manage ingress controllers, API gateways, and network routing components.
• Ensure platform resilience, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Support workload identity and authentication mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Optimize platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Develop operational tooling, automation scripts, and self-service capabilities.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and provide operational support.
• Collaborate closely with Security, Architecture, and Engineering teams.
• Contribute to platform standards, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of GitOps methodologies.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Understanding of networking, load balancing, and cloud connectivity.
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy).
• Knowledge of container platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with observability tools and practices (logging, monitoring, tracing).
• Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Good understanding of DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM/IDAM) platforms.
• Knowledge of PKI, certificate management, and workload identity.
• Experience with secrets management solutions.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting globally distributed platforms.
