PLATFORM ENGINEER
Responsibilities
- Pave golden paths for developers to follow to ensure consistency, quality, performance and evolvability
- Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audiences
- Be an influencer and uplift engineering practices of existing developers.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve goals. Experience working in Agile methodologies, such as SAFE, Scrum, and/or Extreme Programming
- Experience in following best practiceslike Test-Driven Development (TDD) and continuous Integration (CI) andContinuous Delivery (CD)
- Investigate and resolve production issues to help maintain a stable production environment; remain cool and effective in crisis
- Stakeholder management – working closely with finance, business change engineers, and project managers to drive and manage software delivery
- Analyse requirements, estimate efforts,plan timeline, manage progress
- Ensure awareness, involvement andsupport from the key stakeholders and participants by engaging strong projectteams and delivering robust solutioning on the project complex challengesthroughout its life cycle
- Drive and review technical andarchitectural design, enforce architectural guidelines and challenge status quo.
Requirements
- 7-8 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a solid foundation in system design and scalable architecture
- At least 3 years of experienceindependently managing cloud environments and delivering infrastructuresolutions for project teams
- Strong Java development skills with Spring Framework and TypeScript with React.
- Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, modern web application architectures, and event-driven/asynchronous processing.
- Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience, including automation pipelines, release management, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
- Strong experience with Git/version control, Linux, and shell scripting for system-level tasks and automation.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) and Open Policy Agent (OPA), with understanding of cloud-native technologies.
- Working knowledge of Kafka and messaging systems, including distributed and event-driven architectures.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, RCA, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical technical solutions and conduct rapid POCs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and project delivery skills, with the ability to influence teams, manage priorities, work in Agile environments, and drive projects to completion
