Responsibilities:
Portfolio & Delivery Management
- Monitor delivery performance across multiple teams and initiatives.
- Establish appropriate governance, reporting, and performance measures at portfolio level.
- Identify delivery risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and areas requiring management intervention.
- Work with Technical Delivery Leads and Project Managers to improve delivery planning and execution.
- Drive consistent use of Jira across technology delivery teams.
- Establish standards for Jira usage, data quality, workflows, and reporting.
- Improve the accuracy and reliability of delivery data to provide better visibility of project status and performance.
- Develop portfolio and programme-level reporting for senior management.
- Define and monitor key delivery metrics and performance indicators.
- Provide analysis of delivery trends, risks, resource utilisation, dependencies, and milestones.
- Improve transparency of technology delivery across distributed teams.
- Mentor Technical Delivery Leads on effective reporting and performance management practices.
Ensure delivery teams have appropriate processes and information to track progress effectively.
Jira & Delivery Data Management
Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide meaningful insights to management. Identify trends and issues through delivery data and recommend corrective actions.

Role Purpose
- Drive value-adding, organisation-wide agile initiatives by coaching leaders and squads, removing systemic impediments, and elevating ways of working across projects and programs. Own pragmatic standards for Jira/Confluence and delivery reporting as supporting enablers—kept lean, governed and data-reliable.
Key Outcomes (Strategic Focus)
- Visible uplift in delivery health and value: improved predictability, shorter cycle/lead times, and clearer dependencies across programs.
- Adoption of consistent, outcome‑oriented agile practices across teams and tribes; demonstrable rise in agile maturity.
- Lean, standardised tooling and reporting that reduce manual effort and reinforce agreed ways of working.
Core Responsibilities
A. Strategic Initiatives & Ways of Working
- Coach and drive squads and key stakeholders to comply with the organisation’s agile systems development methodology and ways of working; advocate agile/lean values and best practices to shift mindset and behaviours.
- Identify organisational impediments and cross‑team dependencies restricting productivity and value delivery; propose balanced initiatives with clear execution plans, owners and success metrics backed by real examples and data.
- Promote continuous improvement: set strategic goals and milestones for squads, projects and programs; measure outcomes and take corrective actions to raise agile maturity.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, project managers, system analysts, technical delivery managers, tribe leads and chapter leads to improve delivery health, quality and value.
- Design and lead targeted enablement—role playbooks, workshops and training—followed by action tracking to ensure lasting impact.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strategic coaching and facilitation across teams, projects and programs; ability to remove systemic impediments and drive measurable improvement.
- Exceptional stakeholder management; clear, concise and professional communication with both functional and technical stakeholders.
- Creation of engaging training materials and delivery of impactful workshops with tracked follow‑through actions.
- Jira and Confluence administration knowledge sufficient to govern standards and data quality (supporting).
- Data & automation (supporting): JQL and Automation for Jira; advanced Excel for analysis (e.g., lookups, pivots, Power Query/Power Pivot); Python or SQL for repeatable data tasks; BI tooling as needed.
