Pre-Sales Engineer
You will act as a technical architect between engineering teams and customer technical teams, delivering deployments, integrations, configurations, upgrades and professional services. You will design solutions, improve architectures, support customer adoption and retention, resolve issues, transfer product knowledge, and maintain technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technology services including technical deployments, configurations, knowledge transfer, upgrades, maintenance and deprecation
- Lead the planning, installation and integration of solutions in physical, virtual and hybrid IT environments
- Deliver technical professional services, product customization and integrations in customer environments
- Maintain customer relationships and increase product adoption, retention and satisfaction
- Establish trusted relationships with customers as a strategic advisor
- Improve the product offering based on customer needs and requirements
- Advocate customer needs and issues across the organization
- Transfer knowledge about products to partners and customers
- Resolve client issues with engineering teams and drive post-sales customer satisfaction
- Organize and improve technical and user documentation
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on technical experience integrating products in complex environments
- Experience as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager or equivalent
- Experience with corporate IT environments and frameworks including virtualization, VDI, backup and application management
- Experience with DevOps build and testing processes, release management and product lifecycle management
- Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Python, YAML and Shell
- Ability to deploy and integrate simple and complex solutions into production environments
- Knowledge or experience in database management using SQL
- Software development experience, preferably in Go, Java or Python
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly to visit customers
