Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
As a Principal Engineer for Digital Design, you will lead the architecture and implementation of complex digital and mixed-signal blocks for automotive microcontroller IPs, ensuring safety compliance and driving scalable, reusable IP development.
- Lead architectural and concept development, design, and RTL coding to synthesize and integrate complex digital and mixed-signal blocks for automotive microcontroller IPs
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of digital blocks performance across various corner cases
- Own microarchitecture design, specification, and maintenance
- Perform synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), and optimize power/area/performance trade-offs in close collaboration with the physical design team
- Ensure designs comply with ISO 26262 and other automotive safety standards, implementing safety mechanisms as required
- Proactively identify and resolve technical risks and issues related to design, timing, or functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional
teams - including System Architects, Software Engineers, and Validation teams - to ensure seamless product integration
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
With solid familiarity in microcontroller infrastructure IPs - including clocking, reset, power control, and on-chip monitoring and alarming - you bring a strong understanding of system-level design requirements. You are a skilled mentor with an approachable attitude, capable of working both independently and collaboratively to tackle complex challenges and deliver high-quality results.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in digital design, with a focus on automotive, safety-critical systems, and power management systems
- Expertise in RTL coding using System Verilog, Verilog, and VHDL, with knowledge of synthesis and static timing analysis (STA)
- Experience with debug tools, simulation/emulation methodologies, and power/performance/area trade-offs
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) (mandatory), with experience implementing safety mechanisms as an advantage
- Experience with low-power design techniques, and DFT (Design for Test)
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
