Principal SoC Architect
You define, specify, model, validate, and integrate complex SoC subsystems for high-performance AI acceleration devices. You collaborate with processor, system, silicon design, verification, hardware, and software architects, support silicon bring-up and evaluation, drive technical planning, and mentor senior technical engineers.
Responsibilities
- Define team infrastructure and processes
- Distill product requirements and their effects on SoC and platform design trade-offs
- Collaborate with processor, SoC, and system architects to determine optimal solutions
- Provide technical knowledge to silicon design, verification, and hardware engineers
- Manage third-party IP and liaise with IP vendors
- Design and specify performant SoC subsystems and integrations
- Manage queries for silicon bring-up, characterisation, and evaluation
- Drive delivery and planning of technical objectives
- Represent the Silicon Architecture Team in cross-functional working groups
- Mentor senior technical engineers
Requirements
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related subject
- Experience specifying complex silicon SoC devices
- Strong software development experience
- Understanding of computer and SoC architecture
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience writing and developing technical specifications
- Knowledge of RTL development and verification processes
- Ability to work across teams and programming languages
- Architecture modelling experience in Python, C++, or Rust
- Experience with machine learning or massively parallel computing systems
- Verilog
- Knowledge of DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, or on-chip networks
