Procurement Administrator

What You Will Do

As a Procurement Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient supply of materials, products and services to support operational and customer requirements. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate purchasing activities, manage purchase orders, monitor supplier performance and help ensure goods are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This position is critical to maintaining operational continuity, cost control and overall supply chain effectiveness.
This is a hybrid role based in Great Yarmouth, with four days per week in the office and one day working from home.

How You Will Do It

Create and manage purchase orders in line with business requirements and MRP schedules
Monitor supplier deliveries and proactively resolve supply, quality or delivery issues
Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing where appropriate and confirm lead times
Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records within ERP systems
Support inventory management activities to optimise stock levels and minimise supply chain risk
Track and report on key procurement metrics, including cost, quality and delivery performance
Verify and approve invoices against purchase orders, pricing and goods receipts within the ERP system
Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, warehouse and finance teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier performance and operational efficiency

What We Are Looking For

Required

Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing, supply chain or administrative coordination role
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Experience using ERP, MRP or procurement management systems
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity

Beneficial

CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS certification
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
Understanding of inventory management and end-to-end supply chain processes
Knowledge of supplier performance management and procurement best practices
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation programmes
