PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in reviewing inventory levels using business computer system (MRP reports) to ensure adequate inventories of raw materials are maintained.
  • Places purchase orders as needed and provide follow-up regarding timely delivery of goods.
  • Assists in the quarterly inventories and year-end inventory audits.
  • Conducts cycle counts of raw materials as determined necessary to ensure accurate and appropriate inventory levels.
  • Maintains information regarding vendor files, quotes, and related files.
  • Assists in vendor interactions such as issuance of purchase orders, collection of Certificates of Analysis, complaints, etc.
  • Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels of packaging and production supplies.
  • Reviews and monitors raw material inbound freight for cost control.
  • Assists in reconciling accounting and receiving document issues that relate to purchase orders and freight.
  • Engages others in constructive debate to explore alternative actions.
  • Communicates effectively and concisely in oral and written messages.
  • Effectively plans and organizes work to get efficient and effective results.
  • Accepts the responsibilities and obligations of the job and the consequences of one’s actions.
  • Assists with projects and helps achieve desired results efficiently and on time.
  • Analyzes data and prepares reports.
  • Understands timelines and critical paths.
  • Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Analytical skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree is preferred.
  • Two (2) year experience in Purchasing, Accounting, or Supply Chain preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The Procurement Coordinator will be located at the Deerfield Beach Corporate office, Winter Haven, FL; Fernley, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Hazleton, PA or Waco, TX plants.
  • Works in a comfortable air-conditioned office environment; must be able to enter the production area on occasion. Required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work around hot asphalt tanks, lines, and pumps on an intermittent basis.
  • Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or otherwise move office materials, files, etc.
  • Ability to climb stairs often and ladders periodically.
  • Visual Acuity (including color perception).
  • Good Hearing.
