Product Manager for Mobile App
Day-to-day responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the mobile product roadmap aligned with business goals and EU FinTech market trends
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities
- Translate business objectives into a clear, actionable product vision
- Build and prioritize the product backlog using data-driven decision-making
Conception & Discovery
- Lead product discovery workshops with stakeholders, customers, and technical teams
- Define user personas, customer journeys, and Jobs-To-Be-Done (JTBD) frameworks
- Co-create wireframes and prototypes with UX/UI designers
- Validate hypotheses through user interviews, usability tests, and A/B experiments
Development & Delivery
- Work closely with cross-functional Agile squads (iOS, Android, Backend, QA, UX)
- Write clear Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Make trade-off decisions on scope, quality, and timeline to ensure on-time delivery
Launch & Go-To-Market
- Define and execute mobile app launch strategies across EU markets
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success for successful releases
- Monitor KPIs post-launch (DAU, MAU, retention, conversion, NPS) and iterate
- Lead phased rollouts, beta programs, and feature flag management
Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
- Ensure compliance with EU regulations: PSD2, GDPR, EBA Guidelines, AML/KYC
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Maintain awareness of upcoming regulatory changes impacting mobile financial services
Who are we looking for
Must-Have
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in FinTech, Banking, or Payments
- Proven track record delivering mobile applications (iOS and/or Android) from concept to launch
- Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies (CSPO certification is a plus)
- Experience working in the European market with knowledge of EU regulations (PSD2, GDPR, DORA)
- Ability to write structured User Stories, Epics, and PRDs
- Strong analytical skills – comfortable with data dashboards and metrics tools
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional EU language is a strong plus)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with mobile payment solutions, digital wallets, or card issuing products
- Knowledge of Open Banking APIs and PSD2 technical standards (SCA, TPP)
- Background in UX research or design thinking
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS, OAuth, or biometric authentication standards
- Knowledge of card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard) or issuing/acquiring processes
- Proficiency with tools: Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, Amplitude
