Product Manager, Mobile & Web App
Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 pro rata + super
Most people who need mental health support wait too long for the right care — and too many fall through the cracks along the way. We exist to change that. Innowell is the clinical intelligence layer for mental health services — turning every assessment, session and check-in into evidence that guides the right care, at the right intensity, at the right time.
Built on 50+ peer-reviewed studies and 15 years of research with the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre, the Innowell platform runs quietly behind every clinical interaction — so clinicians can focus on what matters most: their clients.
We’re live across Australia and Canada. We’re a small, high-trust team, recently moved from a research phase into commercialisation and scale. You’ll find no big egos here — simply good people doing great work, together. We’re headquartered in the heart of the Sydney CBD, next to Wynyard Station.
The Product Manager owns the evolution of the client-facing and clinician-facing surfaces of everything we do. This is a hands-on, end-to-end product role inside a lean team — you’ll be close to the strategy, close to the people who use it, and close to the code. You’ll champion AI-assisted product development both as a way of working and as a source of product value, setting the pace for how modern product management is done at Innowell. This is a permanent, part-time, hybrid position (4-days per week) based out of the Sydney CBD.
If you love turning ambiguity into clear product direction, enjoy rolling your sleeves up with engineers, and are energised by the idea of genuinely helping people through great software — read on.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRODUCT STRATEGY & VISION
Define and maintain a clear product roadmap for the Innowell platform’s mobile and web apps, aligned with our commercial and clinical objectives.
Translate business goals and user insights into actionable product initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Own the product backlog — prioritise with discipline and communicate the ‘why’ clearly to the team. AI
ASSISTED PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Lead the use of AI tools to generate, visualise, and rapidly iterate on product concepts before engaging design or engineering resources.
Champion AI capabilities within the product that support clinicians and help clients — always framed as supporting clinical decision-making, never replacing clinical judgement.
Continuously identify and evaluate emerging AI tools that can accelerate the product management process — from discovery through to delivery.
DISCOVERY & USER RESEARCH
Engage directly with clients (people with lived experience of mental health challenges) and clinicians to understand real-world needs, pain points, and workflows. Use these insights to drive the roadmap for the mobile app (client-facing) and web app (clinician-facing).
At Innowell we build with the people who live it and the people who deliver it — not for them. You’ll help keep that co-design discipline at the centre of discovery.
Synthesise qualitative and quantitative research into clear, evidence-based product decisions.
Ensure every feature shipped is grounded in genuine need — not assumptions.
DELIVERY & COLLABORATION
Work collaboratively with the (Sydney-based) technical team to drive incremental product value every 30 days and major releases every quarter.
Partner with the designer to refine your AI-generated concepts into polished, user-tested designs ready for development.
Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria; actively participate in sprint ceremonies.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) — you’re the last line of defence before features reach clients and clinicians.
Remove ambiguity, manage dependencies, and keep delivery momentum high.
STAKEHOLDER & TEAM ENGAGEMENT
Communicate product direction, progress, and trade-offs clearly to internal stakeholders and leadership.
Contribute to a positive, low-ego team culture where collaboration, transparency, and shared ownership are the norm.
Act as the voice of the client and clinician inside the team — and the voice of the team outside it.
ABOUT YOU — THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
3+ years of Product Management experience in a SaaS environment, with direct accountability for a live product.
Demonstrable experience managing both mobile app (iOS/Android) and web app products through the full product lifecycle.
Proven ability to work in close collaboration with engineers — you understand how software is built and can speak the language of engineering.
Experience conducting user research with diverse groups, including clients and clinicians (clinical or equivalent domain experience is a plus).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, resource-conscious environment where you wear multiple hats.
Innowell has recently transitioned from a research phase into high-growth commercialisation and scale. Experience in a high-growth commercialisation phase is essential.
AI LITERACY & ENTHUSIASM
You actively use AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Figma AI, Notion AI, or equivalents) in your day-to-day work — not occasionally, but as a core part of how you think and create.
You can demonstrate how you’ve used AI to generate product concepts, wireframe ideas, summarise research, or accelerate any part of the PM workflow.
You’re excited about AI-embedded features that support clinical decision-making and create real value for clients and clinicians.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
You love a challenge — ambiguity energises rather than unnerves you.
You’re genuinely curious about the people we build with, and passionate about solving real problems.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills — clear, concise, and audience-aware.
You seek out evidence and make data-driven decisions and recommendations, rather than relying on ‘gut feel.’
You thrive in a collaborative, small-team environment and contribute positively to team culture.
You have no time for big egos — including your own. You bring humility, humour, and a willingness to do whatever it takes.
You’re comfortable with a hybrid working arrangement (2 days in the Sydney CBD office, the rest working from home) and are based in Greater Sydney.
