Product Owner, DevX and AI — Shop Builder
You'll own the roadmap for the developer layer of Shop Builder, deciding what gets built, in what order, and why, while maintaining a clear rationale for the team and stakeholders. You'll represent developers by engaging directly with partners, agencies, and the teams building on Shop Builder's APIs, surfacing their friction and translating it into product requirements. You'll collaborate with engineers to define API shape and scope, specifying what each API surface exposes, withholds, and what format developers and agents expect. You'll coordinate across teams including payments, auth, catalog, and live ops, owning those relationships and keeping them moving. You'll also set the definition of done, ensuring documentation, evals, developer experience quality, and partner feedback are treated as part of shipping rather than afterthoughts.
Responsibilities

- Engage directly with partners, agencies, and teams who build on Shop Builder's APIs
- Surface developer friction and translate it into product requirements
- Collaborate with engineers to define API shape and scope

- Own cross-team relationships and keep them moving
- Set the definition of done including documentation, evals, developer experience quality, and partner feedback
Requirements
- 4+ years of product experience, with meaningful time spent on developer-facing products, APIs, SDKs, developer tooling, or platforms where other builders are your customer
- Software development background, with time writing and shipping code to production systems
- Genuine interest in the craft of developer experience including API contracts, SDK interfaces, and CLI flows
- Comfort with a fast-moving domain such as AI-native development
- Systems thinking with ability to articulate reasoning to engineering and business leadership
- Experience with AI-native developer workflows (MCP, agents, LLM-integrated tooling) is a meaningful advantage
