About the role:
This is an opportunity to take ownership of delivery within the Product Management team of a large, complex public sector organisation. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll provide advice and recommendations that shape the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
As Product Owner, you'll be the key link between programmes, projects and the wider business — ensuring alignment, clear communication and strong delivery outcomes. You'll be accountable for delivering to a key people capability portfolio, and will report to the Product Manager.

As Product Owner, you'll be the key link between programmes, projects and the wider business — ensuring alignment, clear communication and strong delivery outcomes. You'll be accountable for delivering to a key people capability portfolio, and will report to the Product Manager.
Working alongside the Product Manager, you will:
- Manage the delivery queue in line with the domain strategy and prioritised customer requirements.
- Lead iteration planning, including identifying, coordinating and assigning available resources.
- Support and motivate the product team to deliver against agreed specifications and timelines.
- Own quality control as the sole team member empowered to accept backlog items as complete.
- Coordinate product release plans, set delivery expectations for new functionality, and communicate change across the wider business.
- Monitor and report on progress, remove workflow blockers, resolve cross value-stream conflicts with other Product Owners, and escalate where needed.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in a complex, delivery-focused environment.
- A strong grasp of Agile delivery, backlog management and iteration planning.
- The ability to translate strategy and customer needs into a clear, prioritised delivery queue.
- Confidence owning quality control and the acceptance of completed work.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A track record of coordinating release plans and landing change across a business.
- The ability to resolve cross-team dependencies and escalate effectively.
- A Current Confidential-level security clearance.
