Job Summary:
Drive digital transformation across freight and logistics operations by delivering innovative solutions, automation, and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain system architecture for freight technology platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and manage the technology roadmap to support freight operations, digital transformation, and long-term business growth.
- Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into technical specifications, system workflows, and solution designs.
- Prepare detailed functional and technical documentation, including database structures, process logic, validation rules, audit requirements, and user interface specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions to provide operational and financial insights.
- Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of AI and automation solutions to improve freight operational efficiency.
- Manage integrations with third-party logistics platforms, enterprise systems, and external service providers.
- Monitor system performance and service levels through defined technical and business KPIs.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate system effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Prioritise product enhancements, maintenance activities, security improvements, and operational requirements using structured evaluation frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology teams to define user stories, functional requirements, and product enhancements.
- Lead system implementation activities, including migration planning, user training, testing, deployment, and go-live support.
- Support vendor evaluation, selection, and management processes, including RFI/RFP activities and ongoing performance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and change management programmes across freight technology environments.
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years in a technical role within freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or related technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding systems, transportation management systems (TMS), logistics platforms, or related enterprise applications.
- Experience in systems architecture, product lifecycle management, and technology roadmap planning.
- Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and system specifications.
- Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and dashboard development, preferably using Power BI.
- Knowledge of AI, automation technologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing system integrations, APIs, enterprise platforms, and third-party vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, system implementation, migration, and change management.
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for product backlog management, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience conducting RFI/RFP processes and vendor evaluation activities is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry certifications such as PMP, CSPO, CSCP, or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Background in supply chain, logistics, freight operations, software development, or data engineering is an added advantage.
