Production Manager – Night shift

Maritime Naval Ships are pleased to announce this progression opportunity for an established line leader in production operations working within the JHH on Type26. This role sits within the Manufacturing Function.

As Production Manager – Night shift you will ensure the safe delivery of the manufacturing scope delegated to through support to the Control Account Management (CAM) to cost and schedule. This role has a focus on people and development aligned with functional processes and business requirements.

Duties include\:

· Responsible management through subordinate managers / supervisors of multiple teams of operators

· Developing solutions to issues and acting as best practice/quality expert within your discipline.

· Influencing the development of strategy for your area of responsibility, including control of resources

· Working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams

· Engaging with stakeholder and customer requirements and delivering operational excellence.

· Being visible in this Leadership role

Your main responsibilities as Production Manager\:

· Ensure safety, health and wellbeing of the team is critical (Including environmental impact)

· Developing and maintaining world class safe systems of work for their area of work and always in search of continuous improvement.

· Ensure Quality is the driven within the teams, focusing on requirement standard achievement, repeatable process adherence and a continually improvement cycle

· Responsibility to process confirm SOE deployment, sustainment and Continuous Improvement activities

· Support development of design guidelines that improves the manufacture of the vessel

· Responsibility for quality within your area - Responsibility to process confirm quality processes

· Responsibility for delivery of manufacturing programme within assigned facility

· Supporting peers and senior management in delivering process required build methods outfit strategies

· Responsibility for material management in your area

· Integrate and collaborate with stakeholders and function representing Operations

· Responsible for the safety, management and utilisation of apprentices within the individuals area of control

Your skills and qualifications\:

· Previous line management experience is essential, ideally over medium-large teams.

· Mechanical/Electrical/Outfitting background within Ship Build

Location\: Govan, full-time on site. Approximate night-shift hours are 9\:30pm – 7am.
