The Media and Arts Program Coordinator develops, coordinates, and facilitates innovative media arts programming for justice-involved youth ages 13-18 participating in the Post Dispositional Evening Reporting Center (Psot-ERC) and the Community Intervention Center (CIC). Through hands-on instruction in podcasting, music production, photography, videography, digital storytelling, graphic design, and multimedia production, the coordinator engages youth in creative learning experiences that build confidence, strengthen workforce and life skills, promote positive decision-making, and expose participants to career pathways in media and the arts.
The coordinator oversees the operation of the program's recording studio, computer lab, cameras, and media production equipment while creating a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment that encourages self-expression and positive youth development. Working closely with Post-ERC and CIC staff, community partners, and volunteers, the Coordinator integrates creative programming into broader service goals, helping youth develop prosocial skills, amplify their voices, and achieve educational, personal, and career readiness outcomes.
