Program Coordinator I-Geriatric and Palliative Care
The Program Coordinator I is responsible for providing administrative, operational and programmatic support services to research program of the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, including two NIH-funded program.
- Provides operational and administrative support to the research program, including:
- Establishing and managing data use agreements, consulting agreements, and other research related contracts
- Preparing, submitting, and maintaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, including amendments, continuing reviews, and study documentation
- Tracking publication output, and ensuring compliance with public access requirements
- Managing website and intranet pages
- Scheduling meetings and conferences, and organizing site visits
- Preparing presentation slides and other program materials
- Securing purchase orders, submitting invoices, ensuring their timely payment, and facilitating subject fee disbursements
- Preparing and submitting travel and reimbursement requests
- Requesting IT system access and equipment provisioning for program staff
- Facilitating secure data management for research studies by requesting protected folders and managing access
- Demonstrates continuous efforts to improve support operations and systems, to streamline work processes and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
- Serve as liaison with personnel across departments and study sites to coordinate program activities, accomplish program objectives, and ensure resources are used effectively.
- Establishes tracking systems to monitor deliverables of grant-funded programs
- Coordinates and assists with the development of grant reports
- Perform other duties as needed
- Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree when the experiences are closely related to the duties of the job.
- None required, but 1-2 years administrative experience preferred
