Project Administrator

Essential Functions:

The Project Administrator is to provide high level administrative support for a wide variety of utility construction projects within our Program Management and Field Operations teams. This includes working with the General Managers and Supervisors to provide information, follow up on questions and assist as needed. This position also uses a data driven approach to help educate essential project management decisions. It will also require taking and receiving calls, taking messages and directing calls as needed. This role is critical to the overall success of our various large scale construction projects Nationwide
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain filing and spreadsheets (Knowledge of Excel a MUST)
- Schedules locates, locate meets and municipal inspector meetings
- Maintains organized system of document retention
- Maintains updated job scheduling and completion records
- Ensure Field Team is costing manhours and equipment appropriately
- Work with Foreman and Supervisors to gather data for Earned Value Analysis.
- Serve as dynamic support to Field Supervisor and Project management Team.
- Maintains a strong work ethic to ensure the required day's work is complete
- Responsible for timely communication with customers and SPS staff
- Answering telephones, taking messages, and directing calls as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent desired
- 1-3 years of administrative experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
