Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator coordinates operational, clinical, and strategic projects to support organizational goals, quality outcomes, and service excellence. Collaborates with leadership, physicians, and business partners to manage project activities, monitor progress, analyze performance data, and implement process improvements. Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates and leads various projects including but not limited to practice expansions, acquisitions, onboarding and renovations.
- Serves as project leader in a coordinating role between business partners and leadership for problem resolution, project evaluation, and system implementation.
- In collaboration with Quality and Safety, provides leadership to drive work for clinical improvement and service enhancement. Implements organizational optimization processes and acts as a support for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety initiatives, as directed.
- Coordinates project activities, schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
- Works with Project Manager to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects.
- Ensures all projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting high-quality standards.
- Monitors project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Acts as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Facilitates statistical analysis and research methodologies that compare service line processes and outcomes with appropriate benchmarks.
- Exercises creative approaches to operational problem solving. Deals with conflict and problematic situations in an open and tactful manner, respecting the dignity of others.
- Builds trust-based, collaborative relationships with physicians and other health system partners.
- Provides analysis of financial processes for service line-related activities and provides data to the service line management team to initiate change as appropriate and to improve performance.
- Performs additional duties assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Work Schedule: PRN (As Needed)
Education/Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school. Master's degree is preferred.
- Healthcare quality improvement experience required.
- 1-2 years of project management experience is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
