Project Coordinator / Project Engineer (Hull)
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate marine aluminium shipbuilding projects and ensure timely completion according to project schedules.
- Liaise with clients, shipyards, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Coordinate engineering drawings, material requirements, fabrication, installation, and site activities.
- Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and delivery schedules.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- To support verification that proposed equipment complies with technical specifications and Class requirements
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Attend VSCC & project meetings and prepare progress updates and reports.
- Assist in resolving technical and site-related issues.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the marine or shipbuilding industry.
- Possession of valid SSSC/SRM certification will be an added advantage.
- Experience in marine aluminium shipbuilding, QA & QC, fabrication, or marine engineering will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of aluminium fabrication, welding, marine systems, and shipbuilding processes.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good project coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with different parties.
