Project engineering manager role overview
The project engineering manager is responsible for leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering and design activities for Saudi Aramco GES+ projects. The role ensures engineering deliverables meet Saudi Aramco standards, project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements. Coordination with the client, PMT, licensors, vendors, procurement, and construction teams is essential. The manager provides technical leadership across all engineering disciplines and ensures timely resolution of engineering issues throughout project execution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams covering process, mechanical, piping, civil, E&I, and telecom.
- Manage FEED verification, detailed engineering, design development, and IFC deliverables.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with Saudi Aramco standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Coordinate engineering interfaces with the client, PMT, licensors, vendors, procurement, and construction teams.
- Monitor engineering progress, man-hours, resource utilization, and deliverable schedules.
- Lead design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOPs, and technical workshops.
- Manage technical queries (TQs), design changes, engineering risks, and technical issues.
- Provide engineering support throughout procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably process or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering management.
- Proven experience working on Saudi Aramco GES+ projects.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco engineering standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Strong experience in multidisciplinary design management and project engineering.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
