Project Manager – GIS / Simulation Systems
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise ICT systems and digital initiatives. You will work closely with system owners, technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to coordinate projects involving enterprise applications, cloud environments, process optimisation, automation, governance and technology refresh initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving projects across multiple workstreams, strengthening ICT governance and improving operational processes through standardisation and automation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver assigned ICT projects and initiatives in accordance with approved project plans, timelines and objectives.
- Track project progress, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies and action items across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Coordinate system implementation, contract renewal and technology refresh activities with system owners, technical teams and vendors.
- Support evaluation of solution options, technical considerations and implementation approaches.
- Manage stakeholder and vendor coordination to ensure timely delivery and resolution of project issues.
- Drive process improvement and workflow automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Review and optimise processes relating to areas such as application licensing, user access, password management, application logs and system reviews.
- Support and standardise ICT audit, exit audit and annual self-assessment activities across enterprise systems.
- Establish and maintain appropriate project governance, documentation and controls.
- Ensure projects and systems comply with relevant Government ICT policies, cybersecurity standards, audit requirements and risk management frameworks.
- Prepare project documentation, management updates, status reports, presentations and meeting materials.
- Build strong working relationships with business, operational, technical and planning stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support the implementation of sustainable digital solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong project management experience covering planning, implementation, risk and issue management, stakeholder coordination and project governance.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and maintaining strong follow-through on project actions and deliverables.
- Familiarity with ICT governance, compliance, cybersecurity and audit requirements.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing project documentation, reports and presentation materials.
Good to Have
- Working knowledge or project experience involving cloud-hosted environments.
- Experience supporting at least one cloud implementation or migration project.
- Exposure to IT audits, compliance assessments or technology risk reviews.
- Experience in business process improvement, process optimisation or workflow automation.
- Experience working within Government, public sector or other highly regulated ICT environments would be advantageous.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CITPM, PRINCE2, Scrum, Agile or equivalent would be advantageous.

You are a structured and hands-on Project Manager who can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to governance, risks and delivery timelines. You should be comfortable working across business and technical teams, coordinating vendors, driving action items and identifying opportunities to streamline existing ICT processes through standardisation and automation.
