Project Manager – Learning System Projects

Job Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering Learning Systems projects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful implementation within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

The incumbent will work closely with customers, business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project partners to deliver Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), digital learning solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities that support organisational learning and workforce development.

The role requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and governance experience, together with an understanding of emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and their application in learning ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery:

Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of learning development project, ensuring it meets client requirements, deadlines, and quality standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, facilitating communication, managing expectations, and providing regular updates on project progress.

Scope Management:

Work with clients to define and clarify project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Ensure that any changes to the project scope are documented and communicated effectively.

AI-Enabled Learning Solutions:

Support the planning and implementation of AI-enabled learning capabilities, including intelligent search, personalised learning recommendations, virtual assistants, learning analytics, and generative AI features.

Resource Planning & Allocation:

Manage the allocation of internal and external resources, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills and support to meet project goals.

Budget & Timeline Management:

Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring that projects are completed within scope and on schedule.

Quality Assurance:

Oversee the testing and validation of learning technology solutions to ensure they meet quality standards. Implement processes for continuous improvement and user satisfaction.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks or issues affecting the project and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on delivery.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain thorough project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting notes, and other relevant materials. Provide regular status reports to senior management and clients.

Post-Project Review & Evaluation:

Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the success of the project, gather feedback, and implement lessons learned into future projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

o 3-5 years of project management experience, ideally in the defense, learning or education sector

o Proven experience in managing complex projects from initiation to closure.

Education:

o A degree in Project Management, or a related field. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

o Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

o Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

o Ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

o A passion for learning and education, with a commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello).

o Familiarity with e-learning development tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an advantage.

o Prior experience working on government agencies project will be an added advantage.

AI Literacy:

o Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI concepts.

o Awareness of AI applications within learning technologies and digital workplace solutions.

o Ability to identify opportunities for AI adoption that deliver measurable business value.
