Project Manager (Mining Industry Experience/ Multi-Disciplinary Project Management/ Engineering Project Management) – Africa

Our client, a leading player in the mining sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of projects while leading an assigned team of Project Engineers and Administrators, in line with the company's specifications and standards. This is a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will develop and guide their project team to consistent delivery, while working closely with design, drafting, quality, logistics and finance to keep projects moving. The Project Manager carries end-to-end accountability for project outcomes, from cost and quality through to freight and site works. Responsibilities: Management of project cost Management of the Project Quality Management of Freight and Site Works Management of Self and Others Requirements:Qualification and Skill Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy degree; Project Management qualification advantageous. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the mining industry, with multi-disciplinary engineering and project experience. Proven ability to execute and manage projects in collaboration with Senior Management. Strong project management, supervision, organisational, time management and leadership skills. Excellent technical knowledge of engineering principles, applicable codes, policies, standards and industry best practices. Proficient in computer applications, design and visualisation software, with strong technical skills. Strong ability to manage multiple-discipline projects, make sound decisions and demonstrate attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
