We partner with developers, owners, and contractors to deliver industrial and solar projects on time and on budget.
Mountain West Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-impact infrastructure and energy projects across the Phoenix Metro Area. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex mechanical construction initiatives safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.
Role Overview
The Project Manager serves as a key point of accountability for project execution, working closely with clients, engineers, architects, utility providers, contractors, and local officials. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, technical construction knowledge, and the ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholder communication across multiple active projects.

- Represent owners on capital, utility, energy, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage project planning, execution, controls, and closeout to meet safety, budget, schedule, quality, and contract requirements.
- Review plans, contracts, submittals, pay applications, reports, and construction documents for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
- Coordinate access, shutdowns, permits, schedules, subcontractors, meetings, site visits, and stakeholder communication.
- Track schedules, estimates, changes, payments, risks, scope, quality, performance trends, RFIs, documentation, and correspondence.
- Interpret and enforce regulations, codes, standards, contracts, policies, and contractor safety requirements.
- Lead mechanical scopes, including piping, rotating equipment, valves, HVAC, pressure vessels, installation, punch list, and turnover.
- Coordinate with engineers and contractors to ensure ASME, API, OSHA, and QA/QC compliance.
- Resolve technical, field, schedule, and contract issues.
- Maintain project records and mentor staff while promoting accountability, communication, safety, and continuous improvement.
